Linken Bay Resort Wedding, Boothbay Maine //
Kelsey + Tim
Kelsey and Tim’s wedding weekend at Linekin Bay Resort in Boothbay Maine was everything you would want a coastal Maine wedding to be. If you are wondering what it looks and feels like to get married on the coast of Maine, this is your post.
When you get married at Linekin Bay Resort, you have the option to get ready in the cabins on site which Kelsey + Tim did. The couple said “I do” in a church that overlooked the ocean and the bridal party and couple took private boats from their church ceremony to the dock of Linekin Bay Resort. The bride and groom took wedding portraits on the rocky, untouched Maine coastline. They and their guests mingled the pristine green grass for cocktail hour and nearly tore the place down with just their entrances alone.
The bride and her father held their own kind of father-daughter dance by switching it up part way through with a choreographed dance-montage that switched up when the song changed every 15 seconds. The crowd went nuts! The couple really value their friends and family and it showed. The whole experience allowed for people to truly connect and stay present and just have fun.
They partied the night away, taking shots and snacking on whoopee pies. Homemade Maine blueberry jam were their favors and they ended the wedding with a sparkler send-off. But that wasn’t the end of the partying! They hosted an afterparty with soft pretzels and other snacks for their guests to continue enjoying well into the evening.
Maine weddings are already special – you are on the gorgeous, rocky coast, removed from the crowds brought by big cities and it hits all the marks of a quintessential New England wedding. Boothbay, Maine is also such a cute coastal town with so many accommodations outside of the resort itself which provides a range of options for your guests. And depending on the season (this was a fall wedding) the town is ruled by local Maine culture. And although I am not exclusively a Maine wedding photographer, the shore is my favorite spot to photograph and there is so much inspiration from its natural beauty.
