Salem Cross Inn Wedding
Brookfield, Mass //
Angela + Matt
Hosting your wedding at the Salem Cross Inn in West Brookfield, Massachusetts means having the cutest ceremony overlooking cow pastures and feeling cozy in the cabin-like dining room with intimate warm lighting surrounding your closest peeps. The 18th century farmhouse is situated on over 600 acres of farmland and has been renovated into a restaurant and venue for events and has that classic historical New England feel.
It was the perfect venue for these two – Angela + Matt. I first met them for their cutie engagement shoot at Wickham Park in Manchester, Connecticut and their genuine love and respect for each other was such an honor to capture. They were so sweet and calm toward each other and laughed the whole time as if they had been photographed before. We had a blast!
I was honored when they reached back out to book me for their wedding. Angela had her mother, sister, mother-in-law and closest friends surround her the morning-of as she did her own hair and makeup. She opted for a moody fall color palette with the bridesmaids dresses being in a red plum color that matched their bouquet roses to a T. The bouquets also had floral accents of eucalyptus and dried grasses which complemented the natural grasses and flora around the property.
Their intimate wedding at The Salem Cross Inn was a dream. The cow pastures in the back of the property were a beautiful backdrop to their bridal party portraits and ceremony. Their reception was held in the early colonial dining room instead of the historic barn after last-minute changes due to unexpected circumstances the day prior that caused their original space to be unusable. But the couple and families kept such a good attitude about it all. The day turned out beautifully.
