10 IDEAS FOR YOUR AT HOME BABY PHOTOS
AT HOME BABT SHOOT:
IDEAS REFLECTING REAL LIFE

Part of the anxiety around having your photos taken is not knowing what to expect. Although these ideas below seem simple and obvious, they are reflective of real life scenarios that you will encounter and cherish having documented in a photo form. I personally revel in the mundane, the simple and everyday routines that cultivate a oneness in a household and think its some of the most beautiful things to be able to remember. These activities create genuine, heartfelt moments that reflect the real, beautiful moments of family life and help capture the love and connection between parents and children.

Rocking the baby to sleep: For newborns, rocking the baby to sleep and capturing that tender, calm moment of parenthood is something one often cannot document themselves but is such a warm memory for young parents.

Cuddling on the couch: Snuggle together on the couch, with your baby or child in your arms or cuddle next to them, creating a warm family moment.

Playing: Interact with your child — whether it’s playing on the floor, having a tickle fight, or reading a story together. It captures the joy and connection you share as a family.

Feeding time: For couples with babies, capturing moments of feeding (breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or baby food time) allows you to remember those early years when this is a big part of bonding and providing to your babe.

Bedtime routine: Reading a bedtime story to your children, tucking them in, or just snuggling before sleep, creates heartwarming memories.

Morning routine with kids: Capture the family during your morning routine, such as getting the kids dressed, making breakfast together, or playing before starting the day.

Other daily activities that naturally make for natural, comfortable and documentary photos:
Bath time: For a parent with young children, photos of you giving your baby or toddler a bath can highlight the tenderness and love of those everyday moments.
Outdoor play: Take your kids outside for a little playtime — whether it’s running around the backyard, playing in a park, a sandbox, climbing trees and objects or having a picnic.
Tending to pets and kids: If you have pets, let’s interact with both your children and animals, showcasing the harmony, play and love in the household.
Family walks: If you enjoy taking family walks, let’s stroll together around your neighborhood with your child or baby in a stroller, capturing your neighborhood that you call home during these tender times.
