SILVER SANDS STATE PARK ENGAGEMENT

Should you take your engagement photos at Silver Sands State Park in Milford, Connecticut? YES. Three reasons: beach, beach and beach.

I’m kidding.

But I’m not.

Beaches are an awesome place to have an engagement shoot. Silver Sands State Park is an especially excellent spot to have engagement photos taken in Connecticut because it provides a beautiful long boardwalk that takes you from parking to sandy beaches in just minutes. There are jetties to explore, warm sunsets to marvel and depending on that day’s tides, you may be able to walk out to the little island across the way.

Jess + Matt made their photoshoot so much fun. They were both nervous which is to be expected for being photographed! But having been in front of the camera from time to time, I try my hardest to give you and your partner some prompts, jokes or movements that make you two feel like you’re just laughing at me (or yourselves) which yields the best photos. Also, once you stop caring about what your hair looks like and start cackling with your babe at how funny this all is, you’ve made it – you’re having fun! And that’s the goal.

These cuties decided to bring a little champagne and two glasses to make it special. And it certainly was! They chose a quiet space away from any people, popped the bottle and enjoyed a quiet moment nestled in the grass.

Milford is a beach town – so naturally, you are going to want to check out some beaches. But Silver Sands State Park provides an accessible spot that is free to those with Connecticut license plates with so much to check out for like the beach, sand, sandbars, sunsets, grassy dunes, an island (like what!?) and a boardwalk that stretches all the way to a nearby private beach.

Convinced yet? Can we please just photograph together there already?
